Krukow is a municipality in the Duchy of Lauenburg in Schleswig-Holstein . In addition to Krukow, Bülten, Im Bohnenbusch, Loose and Thömen are located in the municipality.
history
The village is first mentioned as Crukowe in the Ratzeburg tithe register from 1230 . It was founded by Slavic settlers in the 11th century. The place name goes back to Old Polish * Krukov and is a formation from Old Polish * kruk "raven, crow" and the possessive suffix - ov and means "settlement near the crows".
