About this picture

Nusse ( Low German : nut ) is a municipality in the Duchy of Lauenburg district in Schleswig-Holstein .

geography

Nusse is about 40 km east of Hamburg and 27 km south of Lübeck. The Ritzerauer See with a bathing area and the Hofsee as well as the hilly terminal moraine valley of the Steinau , which, however, belong to the municipality of Ritzerau, are located in the municipality . There is an old Germanic cemetery, some of which was discovered in the 1960s, where excavation work is still being carried out.

history

The first documentary mention was made in 1194 as a use . As a parish it is included in the Ratzeburg tithe register from 1230. From 1370 to 1937 the parish village of Nusse belonged to the Free and Hanseatic City of Lübeck as an exclave . During the Second Northern War , Elector Friedrich Wilhelm von Brandenburg temporarily set up his headquarters in Nusse in 1659, while Lübeck Councilor Friedrich Plönnies , as the envoy of the city council, negotiated the contributions with him in Nusse. In 1747 the place was confirmed as Lübeck property by a comparison in Hanover . The place was an exclave in to Hannover , then Denmark belonging to Lauenburg . From 1811 to 1814, the municipality and the surrounding area belonged to the Département des Bouches de l'Elbe and was part of the first French Empire .

The church was provided with a west tower in the 18th century by the Lübeck master builder Johann Adam Soherr . A large fire damaged the old church from the 12th century and 51 houses in the village in 1821. The church subsequently collapsed and was then blown up in 1836. The new brick building from 1836/37, designed by Lübeck's city master builder Anton Spetzler , initially only received one roof turret. The new tower was only built on the occasion of a renovation in 1914 based on a design by the Lübeck building councilor Carl Mühlenpfordt . The church has a classical pulpit altar and has several pictures of pastors from Lübeck.

As a result of the Greater Hamburg Law in 1937, Lübeck lost its 711-year-old territorial independence and became part of the Prussian province of Schleswig-Holstein . Nusse with just over 500 inhabitants became a municipality in the Duchy of Lauenburg district . The Nusse Office was established in 1948. In 1969 the offices of Nusse and Breitenfelde founded an administrative association. After its dissolution, Nusse was again the seat of the office since 1997, which was merged in 2008 in the Sandesneben-Nusse office with the official seat in Sandesneben .
