Kasseburg is a municipality in the Duchy of Lauenburg in Schleswig-Holstein . Neukasseburg and Ödendorf are in the municipality.

The place is about nine kilometers northwest of Schwarzenbek .
history
The village was mentioned for the first time in 1230 in the Ratzeburg tithe register. Since 1962 the community has belonged to the Schwarzenbek-Land office . The old spelling is "Caßeburg". Just under two kilometers east-north-east of the village, immediately before the confluence of the Fribek with the Mühlengraben with the Runwall, there is a slavish Slavic rampart from the late 8th century, which can be easily seen in aerial photographs from the trees . The largest dimension of the oval inner surface is 80 meters. The Runwall is already in the area of the municipality of Kuddewörde .
