Community representation

Since the local elections in 2008, the WGL electoral community has had all seven municipal council seats. In 2013, the newly founded AWGL, (Aktiv voter community Lüchow), took over 3 seats of the community council and provided the 1st deputy mayor with Andreas Harms. In the local elections on May 6, 2018, the AWGL took over 4 of the total of 9 seats in the municipal council and, with Lutz Weidemann, is the first deputy mayor for the second time. The other 5 seats are occupied by the AAB, which emerged from the WGL, and the mayor Tilmann Hack.
