Location of the municipality of Lanze in the Duchy of Lauenburg

Lanze is a municipality on the Delvenau in the Duchy of Lauenburg in Schleswig-Holstein .

Parts of the municipality are in the Lauenburger Elbe foothills nature reserve .

history

The village was first mentioned in a document in the Ratzeburg tithe register from 1230 and is a former fishing village . Around 1500 the place was called Landsatze . On April 17, 1893, the entire village burned down by arson. Up until 1964, the land around Lanze was also frequently affected by floods, and today a pumping station drains the southern Feldmark.

Community representation

Of the nine seats in the municipal council, the WGL electoral community has four seats since the 2013 local elections and the AAL electoral community five.

Infrastructure

The last grocery store was closed in 1978, the only inn ( Restaurant zum Brauhaus ) in 2006.

The TTC Grün-Weiß Lanze , founded in 1969, built a sports hall in 1985/86.
