Location of the community of Göttin in the Duchy of Lauenburg | ||
Göttin [ gœˈtiːn ] is a community in the Duchy of Lauenburg district in Schleswig-Holstein . The community consists of about 20 houses.
geography
The community is located a little off the Büchen - Gudow road, directly between the Autobahn 24 Hamburg-Berlin and the Elbe-Lübeck Canal . The Lübeck – Lüneburg railway line and the state border with Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, more precisely the Ludwigslust-Parchim district, run nearby . Thus the former inner-German border also ran not far from Göttin.
history
The village is first mentioned in 1194 as Guthin in the Isfried partition contract and is also listed in the Ratzeburg tithe register of 1230. Since 1948 the community belonged to the Gudow Office, which in 1971 was combined with the Sterley Office to Gudow-Sterley Office . After its dissolution, the municipality joined the Büchen office in 2007 .
The Fachhallenhaus in Dorfstraße is a registered cultural monument.
coat of arms
