history

Old Lübeck boundary stone on the local border with Klinkrade

The village was first mentioned in a document in 1337. In 1520 it was acquired by the Hanseatic City of Lübeck as an exclave and came under the Greater Hamburg Law in 1937 to the Duchy of Lauenburg. Since 1948 the community has belonged to the Berkenthin office .
