Must is a municipality in the Duchy of Lauenburg in Schleswig-Holstein . The former Vorwerk Louisenhof as well as Neues Dorf, Alte Ziegelei, Rühlau and Melusinental also belong to the municipality of Müssen .

history

It was first mentioned in a document in 1230. The place name probably comes from Slavic and means swamp , swamp forest or moss-covered swamp hole. The Müssen estate was first mentioned in 1513 and until it was replaced in 1875 it also held the jurisdiction over the village.
