The Nusser See , also Ritzerauer See (not to be confused with the Ritzerauer Hofsee further north ), is a lake near Nusse in the municipality of Ritzerau in the Duchy of Lauenburg .
The approximately 10 hectare lake is traversed by the Wohldbek, which rises in the Koberger Forest near Walksfelde and carries its water over the Ritzerauer Mühlenbach into the Steinau . The lake was created at the end of the Vistula Ice Age by the water of melting glaciers . Like Nusse and Ritzerau, it was owned by the Hanseatic City of Lübeck for centuries and was leased together with the Ritzerau farm; in the early 19th century it was considered quite rich in fish . Today it is an important link between the nature reserves Hevenbruch and Ritzerauer Hofsee and Duvenseebach lowlands .
The lake has a bathing area on the east bank and is fished by the Nuss fishing club.
