Klenkendorf ( Low German Klenkendkörper ) is a district of the Gnarrenburg community in the Rotenburg (Wümme) district in Lower Saxony .
Geographical location
Klenkendorf is surrounded by the villages of Fahrendorf and Spreckens in the north, Minstedt in the east, Langenhausen in the south and Brillit and Basdahl in the west. The district road 101 runs from northwest to southeast. The Oste-Hamme Canal runs through the local area .
history
Local foundation
The Moor colony Klenk village was on 27 September 1823 27 settlement sites by the Moorkolonisator Jürgen Christian Findorff founded.
Naming
The name "Klenkendorf" was created in memory of Claus von Klenck, the head captain of the Bremervörde office who died in 1821 .
Incorporations
On April 8, 1974, Klenkendorf was incorporated into the community of Gnarrenburg as part of the regional reform .
