Ostersode is a part of the municipality Worpswede in the Lower Saxony district of Osterholz .

The Hamme , a headwaters of the Lesum , flows to the west of the village and the Rummeldeisbeek to the south .

history
Ostersode was founded as part of the moor colonization of the Teufelsmoor in 1761. In 1789, it is stated that the place had 25 houses, in which 138 people, including 83 children, lived. In 1910 the place had 155 inhabitants.
