Nordwede is a part of the municipality Worpswede in the district of Osterholz in Lower Saxony .

history

Nordwede was founded as part of the moor colonization of the Teufelsmoor in 1764. In the year 1789 it is stated that the number of houses is twelve in which 71 inhabitants, including 49 children, lived. In the 1871 census, there were 79 inhabitants in 13 residential buildings. In 1910 the place had 81 inhabitants.
