Worpheim is a part of the municipality Worpswede in the district of Osterholz in Lower Saxony .

history

Worpheim was founded as part of the moor colonization of the Teufelsmoor in 1772. In 1789 it is stated that the place had seven houses in which 42 residents, including 27 children, lived. The 1871 census counted 89 inhabitants in 14 residential buildings. In 1910 the place had 145 inhabitants.
