Pierre van Hooven (bourgeois Pierre Kastner ; born October 13, 1982 in Munich ) is a German DJ and presenter from Regensburg . "Van Hooven" is an artist's pseudonym , Pierre is the real name. He took over the family name of the editor-in-chief Jörg van Hooven from München TV during an interview with the broadcaster.

Life

Pierre van Hooven comes from Munich, where his parents and sister live. He has been married to Julia Kastner since March 2020.

Radio

As a 14-year-old he was already working for a Munich radio station as a presenter for a children's program. After completing secondary school, he worked as a freelancer at Radio Gong 96.3 and went to Regensburg in 2001, where he did a traineeship at Funkhaus Regensburg .

Van Hooven previously worked for the southern German radio stations Radio Feierwerk , Radio Gong 96.3, Energy Munich , Radio Galaxy and, since 2009, for Gong FM . He moderates PrimeTime at Radio Feierwerk, and the MorningShow as a sidekick at Radio Galaxy . After he finished his own broadcast Sunday WG on Gong FM with Christian Lang after 4 years, he can now be heard regularly Monday through Friday between 6 and 10 p.m. at the microphone of the Regensburg station. His radio show is about party life, and there are also some self-produced mashups .

DJing

As a DJ he has been playing at various festivals since 1999, including at the “Politics Oktoberfest” in Berlin in 2012, which was organized by the Representation of the Bavarian State Government . As the tour DJ of DSDS candidate Daniele Negroni , he became known to a large audience across Germany in 2013. In 2015 and 2018 he was booked as a DJ / MC for the Farbgefühle Deutschland Tour. On September 4th, 2015 he opened his own disco club called Weekend in Regensburg, which has now closed again.

On August 5th, 2016 his first single "BAD BOYS" was released, which he produced together with Christavo. On June 21, 2019 his second single "Summer Love" was released, which he produced together with DJ Sriqq. The single made it to number 3 on the Itunes Electro Charts
