Radio Feierwerk is a local private radio program in Munich . It shares the split frequency with Radio Lora , Radio Horeb and Christian Radio Munich .

General

The station's managing director is Feierwerk eV In 1993, the program started on its FM frequency 92.4 MHz, and on November 30, 2012, a DAB slot was added in the Munich 11C frequency block. The technical range in the greater Munich area is 2,290,000 inhabitants. The program is also available as a live stream from various cable providers and on the Internet .

The editorial team is made up of permanent employees and freelancers. There are also volunteers and volunteers. Children and young people are also involved in the design of the program under media pedagogical guidance.

When the licenses for the 92.4 MHz frequency were reassigned in March 2017, applications from six broadcasters were received, so that a difficult compromise had to be worked out. Radio Feierwerk had to give up the Sunday evening, but got the entire Saturday.

On November 12th, 2000 the children's radio "Radio Maroni" of the Radio Feierwerk received the German Children's Culture Prize.

Radio Feierwerk is aimed at young listeners up to the age of about 30 years. There are special programs for children and young people, some of which are designed by children themselves, from the fields of young culture, art, education, politics and social affairs, including magazine and talk programs. There are also slots for the local music and cultural scene. In terms of music, the program is broad. Among other things, music of the directions indie , hip-hop , punk , world music , metal , electro , reggae , soul , hardcore , funk , drum and bass , Balkan beats, post-rock , R'n'B and folk is broadcast.

The broadcast times on FM & Livestream are:

  • Friday 9:00 p.m. to Saturday midnight
  • Sunday 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.

The transmission times on DAB + are:

  • Saturday midnight to Sunday midnight
