The wooded Abterodaer Berg has a height of 310  m above sea level. NN and is part of the Frauenseer forest . It is located on the boundary of Gospenroda and Abteroda , both districts of Werra-Suhl-Tal in the Wartburg district in Thuringia .

The mountain towering on the southwest edge of the Horschlitter Mulde is also used for agriculture. The Abterodaer Berg follows in the northwest of the Auelsberg with a height of 346.8  m above sea level. NN , separated by the Kätchensloch . The Hohe Straße has long been running on the northern slope with branches into the Werra valley to the neighboring villages of Dippach and Vitzeroda .
