General

The Christian Radio Munich is a branch of the non-profit organization Christliche Medien München eV The station addresses Christian content that is based on the faith of the Evangelical Alliance at a church-distant audience. According to its own statement, it is financed almost exclusively through donations , but to a lesser extent also through advertising . The editorial focus is on current events, information and event notices from the Christian area in the Munich region. The actual range is given in the last radio analysis of 2014 with around 1000 listeners for the broadcast on Sunday with a "broadest audience" of 18,000 listeners in the reception area.

program

The core target group are radio listeners aged 25 to 55 as well as children and young people aged 8 and over.

The magazine broadcast can be heard every day except Saturdays from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. under the claim CRM 92.4 to 5 . Mostly contemporary Christian pop music is played in the music formats alternative, folk, hip-hop / rap, indie, pop, rock and singer / songwriter. The editorial part includes v. a. Information about the Christian faith and life support from a Christian point of view.

A sermon service is broadcast from the area on Sundays.

reception

The program can be heard on VHF in Munich on 92.4 MHz and is fed into the local cable networks. The station has been digitally received via DAB since November 30, 2012 in the Munich 11C frequency block. Mobile apps for mobile reception are offered on the homepage . The program is available as internet radio via radio.de. There is also a “worship channel” ( worship and worship music ) with titles that are mainly sung in charismatic free churches.

For FM reception, CRM shares the 92.4 MHz split frequency with LORA Munich , Radio Horeb , Radio Feierwerk and, from 2017, also with Radio Munich . When the licenses for the 92.4 MHz frequency were reassigned in March 2017, applications from six broadcasters were received, so that a difficult compromise had to be worked out. The CRM broadcast time has been brought forward from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. to 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. The move forward posed organizational problems for CRM, as volunteers rarely have time that early.
