The Hansen Point is a headland on the north coast of South Georgia . It is located on the west bank of Leith Harbor between Factory Point and Harbor Point .
It was named in the course of surveying work at the British Discovery Investigations between 1927 and 1929. It is probably named after the Norwegian Leganger Hansen (1883-1948), manager of the Leith Harbor whaling station at the time .
