The Trier correctional facility is a prison in the state of Rhineland-Palatinate .

The prison is located southwest of downtown Trier and is one of the country's smaller penal institutions . It only accepts male prisoners from the Trier regional court district with prison sentences of up to two years. In addition, the institution serves as a remand prison for men from the Trier regional court district. Suitable prisoners can be accommodated in the open prison in the branch office in Saarburg .

In addition to its own operations, the institution also has a modern workshop with 193 m² of work space and around 150 m² of storage space for the employment of the prisoners. Up to 80 prisoners are employed there in particular with assembly, packaging and labeling work for companies.

The Trier JVA has 156 places in closed prison and 36 places in open prison.
