Jutta Buschenhagen-Herzog

Jutta Buschenhagen-Herzog (* 1943 in Züllichau ) is a German producer, dramaturge and editor of children's cartoon series and radio plays. Together with the author Elfie Donnelly , the director Ulli Herzog and the media entrepreneur Karl Blatz , she developed the successful German radio play series " Benjamin Blümchen " (1977) and " Bibi Blocksberg " (1980) as well as " Bibi and Tina " (1991). Jutta Buschenhagen-Herzog works as a producer for the Kiddinx film production in Berlin.

Life

In the mid-1970s, she set up the radio play program for the hör + lies publishing house run by the Berlin media entrepreneur Karl Blatz, and worked closely with the radio play director Ulli Herzog. Many radio play series were created, such as "The Adventures of Odysseus" and "The Nibelungs" in cooperation with the SFB . On July 7th, 1977 the cooperation between the Hör + lies Verlag and the author Elfie Donnelly was contractually sealed: The first adventure of the talking elephant Benjamin Blümchen (“Törööö”) appeared shortly afterwards under the title “The world's first weather elephant”. The team Elfie Donnelly (book), Ulli Herzog (director), Jutta Buschenhagen-Herzog (editorial / production) and Karl Blatz were henceforth responsible for the children's radio play series, which has sold millions of times. With the cheeky witch "Bibi Blocksberg" (1980) and with "Bibi and Tina" (1986) two more successful series followed. In 1992 Jutta Buschenhagen-Herzog took over the management of the hör + lies publishing house. In 2000 the hör + lies publishing house became part of KIDDINX Media AG, and Jutta Buschenhagen-Herzog became the managing director of KIDDINX Studios. From 2006 to 2010 she was jointly responsible for KIDDINX film production with Eberhard Wecker. Since January 2011 she has been producing more Bibi Blocksberg episodes for KIDDINX Filmproduction in co-production with ZDF . In total, Jutta Buschenhagen-Herzog is responsible for around 800 radio plays and 150 cartoon productions and numerous children's music productions (“Liederzoo”, among others). (Status: 12/2010)

Jutta Buschenhagen-Herzog lives in Berlin. Together with her first husband, Klaus Buschenhagen , she had a daughter, Tatjana Gessner , née Buschenhagen. From 1996 until his death in 2003 she was married to the radio play director and author Ulli Herzog .

Art collector

Jutta Buschenhagen-Herzog is also an art collector. In 1972 she founded a gallery in Berlin, which was later taken over by the Futura group. In her private possession is u. a. a large collection by the painter Klaus Buschenhagen.
