Jutta Geikler

Jutta Geikler (born October 6, 1948 in Wernigerode ) is a former German politician . From 1994 to 1998 she was a member of the state parliament of Saxony-Anhalt for the PDS .

Education and life

Jutta Geikler trained as a photographer after completing the 10th grade until 1968. She was a traffic policeman until 1971 and a photographer in forensics until 1980. She later worked in housing policy.

She was honorary chairwoman of the Wernigerode tenants' association. After leaving the state parliament, she worked full-time as managing director of the Wernigerode tenants' association. In 2008 the association stopped its activities and filed a criminal complaint after financial irregularities had occurred since 2001.

Jutta Geikler is married and has two children.

Jutta Geikler was a member of the PDS from 1992 to 1998. Since 1991 she has been city councilor in Wernigerode, deputy president of the city council assembly and since June 1994 city councilor in Wernigerode. In the state elections in Saxony-Anhalt in 1994 , she was elected to the state parliament via the state list. In the state parliament she was a member of the council of elders, deputy chairwoman of the PDS parliamentary group, chairwoman of the committee for housing, urban development and transport and a member of the committee for finance.
