Jutta Langenbacher-Liebgott

Jutta Langenbacher-Liebgott (born July 15, 1951 in Mannheim ) is a German Romance studies and professor for Romance linguistics at the University of Paderborn .

Life

Jutta Langenbacher-Liebgott earned her doctorate in Philology at the Romance Department of Heidelberg University in 1980 and then worked in the same position for twelve years as a university assistant or academic employee. From 1987 to 1992 she was the editor-in-chief of the Diccionario del Español Medieval , published by the Heidelberg Academy of Sciences. In 1989 she completed her habilitation . From 1990 to 1992 she represented the professorship for Romance Linguistics with a focus on Hispanic Studies at the University of Paderborn for two semesters , and in 1992 she was appointed professor at the University of Paderborn. Jutta Langenbacher-Liebgott was a member of the board of the DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) from 2000 to 2007 and deputy chairwoman of the Paderborn Teacher Training Center (PLAZ) from 2004 to 2007. She will retire at the end of February 2017, but will also head the DFG research project DEM el - Diccionario del Español Medieval electrónico, which is a cooperation between the University of Paderborn and the University of Rostock. Rafael Arnold is in charge there.
