Jutta Matuschek (born November 19, 1960 in Templin ) is a German politician of the Die Linke party and was a member of the Berlin House of Representatives from 1995 to 2016 . From moving into the House of Representatives until 2011, she was the parliamentary group's transport policy spokesperson. From 2009 to 2011 she was deputy group leader and finance and budgetary spokeswoman. Since 2011 she has been the political spokesperson for the parliamentary group and a member of the BER airport investigative committee .
Life
She spent her youth in Templin and Neubrandenburg . After graduating from high school, she studied political science in Leningrad (now St. Petersburg ) from 1979 to 1984 . She has lived and worked in Berlin since 1984. As a part-time job, she earned a degree in business administration (IWW). From 1984 to 1990 she worked as a scientist at the Institute for International Politics and Economics of the GDR (IPW). Her research topics mainly concerned aspects of opinion polls in the Federal Republic and German-German relations.
After the IPW was dissolved, she worked for the Berliner Zeitung in 1991 . She worked there in the advertising department until the end of 1998. In 1995 she ran for the PDS in the elections to the House of Representatives in the Treptow district and was a member of the House of Representatives and transport policy spokeswoman for her parliamentary group until 2016. Since then she has been working as a freelancer.
From 2009 to 2015 she was a member of the supervisory board of Liegenschaftsfonds Berlin.
She is chairman of the Friends of Theater an der Parkaue and a member of the board of SODI eV
Jutta Matuschek is divorced and has two sons.
Political work
She has been a delegate at state party conferences (Berlin) and federal party conferences on several occasions.
In the House of Representatives she was a member of the following committees: Committee on Building, Housing, Transport, Committee on Development Plans, Committee on Urban Development and Transport, Main Committee, Committee on Participation Controlling and Management, Asset Committee, Committee on Economy, Technology and Operations, Committee of Inquiry to Clarify the Failure the privatization of the airport company (14th legislature), investigation committee to clarify the causes, responsibilities and cost development at BER (16th legislature), investigative committee Spreedreieck (15th legislature), investigative committee HOWOGE (15th legislature), special committee BWB (16th legislature) . In addition to financial and transport policy issues, she focused on future issues in the field of ecological urban development and municipal housing. She works in a transnational working group of the party Die Linke on issues of state financial equalization.
