Jwira-Pepesa (people)

The Jwira-Pepesa are a people in Ghana who are also called Pepesa , Jwira or Pepesa-Jwira .

This ethnic group lives in the southwest of Ghana and consists of two groups, the Jwira and the Pepesa, which are separated by a mountain range. The Jwira live north of Axim between Bamiankaw and Humjibere on the Ankobra River in 18 villages. The Pepesa live in Wasa land between the Agona + intersection and Tarkwa. Dompim is the largest town.

The Jwira-Pepesa are related to the Nzema and Ahanta people because of their Jwira-Pepesa language .
