Kärim Kökirekbajew

Kärim Nasbekuly Kökirekbajew ( Kazakh Кәрім Насбекұлы Көкірекбаев , Russian Карим Насбекович Кокрекбаев ; born July 20, 1957 in Tschu , Kazakh SSR ) is a Kazakh politician.

Life

He studied at the Institute for Railway Transport in Alma-Ata , where he graduated as a railway engineer in 1983.

After graduation, he worked as an engineer in the railway depot in his hometown of Chu and as the deputy head of the Sary-Ozek station, as the head of the Almaty-2 train station and as the head of the coordination of transport and communication of the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan. From 1995 to 1997 he was deputy general director of Almatyzheldorekspeditsiya and employee of the Kazakh railway company Temir Scholy, Kazakhstan . Between 1998 and 1999 he was Vice President of the public fund Erkin Komek. Subsequently, he was Äkim (governor) of Mojynqum district in Shambyl area in 1999 and 2000 . Between 2000 and 2001, Kökirekbayev was Kazakhstan's Deputy Minister for Natural Resources and Environmental Protection and then President of the Air Kazakhstan Tour for two years. From 2002 to 2008 he held various positions at Kazakhstan Temir Scholy, including chief engineer and vice president of the company. From October 2008 to December 2009 he was deputy Äkim and then until December 2013 the first deputy Äkim of the Shambyl region. From December 20, 2013 he was Akim of the Shambyl region.

On January 10, 2018, he was released from his duties as Äkim in order to be transferred to another position. Since February 7, 2018, Kökirekbajew has been Kazakhstan's ambassador to Kyrgyzstan .
