Käthe Hannemann

Käthe Hannemann , also Käthchen Hannemann , ( May 31, 1881 West Prussia - after 1935) was a German theater actress .

Life

Hannemann, the daughter of the long-time director of the Tilsiter Stadttheater Emil Hannemann (d. 1904) and his wife Ludmilla, was already on stage at the age of twelve. Her actual career did not begin until 1897, also in Tilsit. She stayed there until 1900 and then went to Cologne, where she succeeded in the field of youthful lovers and naive people. Then she worked successfully in Berlin. Her brother was the actor Karl Hannemann (1895–1953), who appeared in the environment of Else Lasker-Schülers . Around 1902 she moved to the German Volkstheater in Vienna, ten years later to Berlin.

She was a graceful actress, natural, fresh, convincing and confident. From their repertoire, "Haubenlerche", "Trude" in Johannisfeuer , "Trude" in the trial candidate , "Gisa Holm" etc. should be mentioned.
