Käthe Henschelmann

Käthe Henschelmann (born before 1976) is a German translation scholar and Romance philologist . She worked for 25 years as a lecturer at the Institute for Translation and Interpreting (IÜD) at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität in Heidelberg .

Life

Käthe Henschelmann completed a translation degree at the University of Heidelberg in French and Italian . After graduating as a qualified translator, she gained professional experience as a translator in the European Language Service (BEI in Brussels / Luxembourg). She obtained her doctorate in 1976 with her dissertation Causality in Sentence and Text: Semantic Comparative Studies in French and German at the University of Heidelberg . Until her retirement in 2003, she worked as a lecturer in French at the Institute for Translation and Interpreting (IÜD) at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität in Heidelberg .
