Käthe Koehler

Käthe Köhler , also Käte Köhler , (born November 10, 1913 in Hamburg , † in the 20th or 21st century) was a German diver .

At the Olympic Games in 1936 , three German jumpers competed in high diving. In addition to the German champions Anneliese Kapp and Änne Ehscheidt (both from Frankfurt), Käthe Köhler from the Hamburger Turnerbund 1862 was there.

The American defending champion Dorothy Poynton won the competition ahead of her compatriot Velma Dunn . In the fourth and last attempt, Käthe Köhler performed a backward somersault from standing, for which she received the top grade of the round with 9.52 points. With a total of 33.43 points, she won the bronze medal ahead of the Japanese Reiko Osawa (32.53) and came within 0.2 points of Velma Dunn. Änne Ehscheidt took eighth place, Anneliese Kapp came eleventh.
