The Kåfjord ( Sami Gáivuotna ) is a fjord arm of the Lyngenfords in the municipality of Kåfjord in the Fylke (province) of Troms in Norway . It extends 20 km southeast to Birtavarre (or Kåfjordbotn).
The mouth of the fjord is between the Ystebyneset peninsulas in the north and Nordnesodden in the south. The place Olderdalen is on the north side just inside the estuary. From Olderdalen there is a ferry connection across the fjord to Lyngseidet on the other side of the Lyngenfjord. There is the church of Kåfjord ( Norwegian Kåfjord kyrke ). On the south side of the Kåfjord there is a bay that is only called Bukta and where Løkvoll is located. The place Skardalen is a little further inside the fjord on the south side.
The European route 6 (E6) circles the fjord on both sides.
