Kgl. Library in the royal house

The royal house in Königsberg was a building in Königsberg i. Pr.

As an aristocratic court, it belonged to the Chancellor von Ostau . Friedrich Wilhelm I bought the royal house from his widow in 1731 as the Königsberger Absteige-Palais. In 1741 Frederick II put the École militaire into it; it was moved to the artillery college building on the Haberberg in 1799 and abolished in 1810. The university library has now moved into the house. In 1901, after the Royal and University Library moved to the new building on the Mitteltragheim , the University's antiqued plaster collection moved to the Royal House (Königstrasse 65/67).
