Küpfli

Küpfli (Küpflein, Kopf) was an old Swiss grain measure in the canton of Basel .

4 Küpfli were a Müttli, or Muid, a so-called little sester . The big sester had 8 kettles or 34 ⅛ liters.

  • 1 Küpfli = mug = 203 ⅔ Parisian cubic inches = 4 liters
  • 32 Küpfli = 1 sack = 6520 Parisian cubic inches
  • 1 tired / bushel = 4 tubs
  • 1 sack = 8 tired = 32 tubs = 64 cups = 0.1293 liters
  • 1 cup = 4.043 liters
