Küppersbusch
The Küppersbusch Hausgeräte GmbH is a German kitchen appliance manufacturer based in Gelsenkirchen .
history
In 1875 Friedrich Küppersbusch started the manual production of coal stoves and coal stoves in Gelsenkirchen-Schalke . In 1898 the production of large kitchen appliances began. In 1907, F. Küppersbusch & Söhne AG, with 2,000 employees, was "the largest special factory for cooking appliances of all kinds in Germany" . In 1925 electric stoves were made. The delivery program also included high-performance burners for industry, e.g. B. for drying foundry molds. In 1944 the plant was destroyed by bombing raids . In August 1982, what was then Küppersbusch AG, as a subsidiary of AEG , filed for comparison to avoid bankruptcy .
The Teka Group took over business operations in 1999 and founded the current operating companies. The former corporate shell with the real estate owned by Küppersbusch AG lives on as Colonia Real Estate .
