Kęstutis Glaveckas (born April 30, 1949 in Vilnius ) is a Lithuanian economist and politician, professor .

Life

After graduating from the Antanas Vienuolis Middle School in Vilnius in 1967, he completed a diploma course from 1967 to 1972 at the Faculty of Industrial Economics of the Vilniaus universitetas (VU). From 1972 to 2000 he taught at the VU and from 1973 to 1976 he was an aspirant. In 1976 he received his PhD and in 1987 his habilitation in Tallinn , Estonia . From 1996 he is a member of the Seimas . In 2003 he was a member of Kaunas City Council . Glaveckas was a candidate for president. He is a member of Lietuvos centro sąjunga .

family

His second wife is Rūta Rutkelytė (* 1960), an entrepreneur and politician. The daughters from the first marriage are Ramunė and Živilė.
