Kōji Takano ( Japanese 高 野 光 司 Takano Kōji ; born December 23, 1992 in Shinagawa ) is a former Japanese football player .

Career

Takano learned to play soccer in the Tokyo Verdy youth team . He signed his first contract with Tokyo Verdy in 2011. The club played in the second highest league in the country, the J2 League . In 2012 he was loaned to league rivals Giravanz Kitakyushu . He played two league games for the club. In 2013 he was loaned to third division club FC Machida Zelvia . In 2014 he moved to league rivals Azul Claro Numazu . In 2015 he moved to league rivals Kagoshima United FC . At the end of the 2015 season, the club rose to the J3 League . At the end of 2016, he ended his career as a football player.
