Koyu Shurei

Kōyu Shurei ( Japanese 珠 黎 こ う ゆ , Shurei Kōyu ) is a Japanese manga artist and illustrator .

In 1995 she won the illustrator award of the literary magazine Cobalt , for which she designed several covers from now on. After she had previously published dōjinshi as an amateur, her first comic book came out in 1997. This was the first episode of her manga series Alichino , which is her best-known work. She worked on this comic until 2001, when the Comic Eyes magazine in which it was published was discontinued. The three anthologies on Alichino published by Shūeisha- Verlag have been translated into German, English, French and Italian. The manga is about supernatural beings who fulfill a wish for every human being, provided that they receive the soul of the person making it.

In 2001 Shurei's art book Enrei no sho ( 艶 麗 之 書 ) was published. She also designed the illustrations for numerous novels.
