The Kuya language (ISO 639-3: kyf; also called kowya , kouya and sokya ) is a Kru language from the canton of Kuya in the Ivory Coast .

The language is spoken in twelve localities by a total of 10,100 people from the Kuya ethnic group .

Together with the language gagnoa bété, Kuya forms the group of Bété within the Niger-Congo language family .
