The K2 glacier is located in the eastern Karakoram in the Shaksgam Valley annexed by China .
The K2 glacier has a length of 18 km. The K2 glacier flows from the northern flank of the eponymous mountain K2 in a north-north-westerly direction through the northern part of the Baltoro Muztagh . The 6266 m high Savoia saddle west of the K2 forms a transition to the Savoy glacier to the south . The K2 glacier feeds a tributary of the Shaksgam .
