The office building K4 , formerly known as Generali Tower , is an office building in Kratochwjlestrasse 4 in the 22nd district of Vienna . It is located in the new Donau City district , in the immediate vicinity of the Vienna International Center , between the Donauplatte and the Alte Donau recreation area .

history

The building, which is owned by SIGNA , is a so-called back office building and was built between 1997 and 1998 in traditional reinforced concrete with the architect Hans Hollein . The facade and the lobby as well as the office structure were redesigned by the company Burghardt ZT GesmbH (the year is missing).

architecture

K4 has a total area of ​​around 27,000 m² and extends over 19 above-ground floors and four basement floors. The first basement is used as a public underground car park (148 parking spaces) and connects the building with the neighboring IZD Tower and the NH Hotel .

The building, which was completed in 1998, has high-quality, contemporary furnishings and is largely rented to the Generali Insurance Austria Group on a long-term basis .
