KEX ("NewsRadio 1190") is a commercial talk radio based in Portland , Oregon . The Clear Channel station can be received far beyond Oregon in the western United States and Canada. KEX is owned by the largest radio company in the United States, iHeartMedia. The history of the station goes back to 1926. KEX was one of the first stations in the western United States and is one of the few that still broadcast today.

KEX's studios are now located in Tigard , Oregon.

KEX Portland, like KFI Los Angeles , WABC New York , WJR Detroit , KOA Denver and WLS Chicago, is one of the most influential Clear Channel Stations with enormous reach, all of which broadcast a conservative talk program. These mostly very traditional stations belong to Cumulus Media or KEX iHeartMedia and get their programs from Premiere Networks .
