KTCK ("The Ticket") is a US radio station based in Dallas , Texas . It is one of the oldest stations in the USA and went on air as WRR on August 4, 1921 .
Today KTCK is a Sports Talk Radio Station from Cumulus Media . The station is known for its humorous moderation of the sports program. The studios are in the Victory Park District in Dallas, while the transmitters are in Coppell .

KTCK broadcasts on medium wave 1310 kHz with 25 kW during the day and 5 kW at night. On VHF, KTCK-FM broadcasts a re-broadcast on 96.7 MHz.

Even before the official licensing, WRR 1920 broadcast on 1310 kHz. From 1921 to 1978 the station carried the callsign WRR; In 1978 the transmitter separated from its FM counterpart WRR-FM and broadcast as KAAM. In 1994 the station was sold to Cumulus Media and received its current callsign KTCK.

The station is partly controversial in the Dallas radio market because it is very dominant. The shows The Hardline and Dunham and Miller , which were rated very highly by radio market researcher Arbitron , made a major contribution to the success and establishment of the station.

SportsRadio 1310 The Ticket has won several awards in its history, including the 2007 Marconi Award for Best Sports Station in America from the National Association of Broadcasters . The station itself and several of its shows have been nominated for a number of Marconi Awards. Second place went to KTCK as "Sports Station of the Year" 2013.
