Dragon Ball - The Movie: Son-Goku's first tournament ( Japanese ド ラ ゴ ン ボ ー ル 魔 訶 不 思議 大 冒 険 , Doragon Bōru: Makafushigi Daibōken , dt. "Dragon Ball: The extremely wondrous great adventure") is the third feature film in the anime series Dragon Ball , which is based on the manga series of the same name by Akira Toriyama .
action
Son-Goku and Krillin have finished their training with the Lord of the Turtles and want to test their strength at the martial arts tournament in the Mifan Empire. Its emperor Chao-Zu, however, is unhappy that his beloved "Ran Ran" has disappeared. His minister, the Lord of the Cranes, advises him to look for the dragon balls in order to wish Shenlong the return of Ran Ran. In fact, however, he plans to assassinate the ruler. Behind this intrigue is also his brother Tao Bai Bai and Tenshinhan, the king's bodyguard.
The Indian Bora also takes part in the tournament, as the emperor grants the winner a wish and wants the soldiers who are looking for the dragon balls to leave his forest. However, Tao Bai Bai defeats and kills him in a fight. Angry, Son Goku intervenes, but Tao Bai Bai's energy beam "Dodonpa" hurls him miles away. He ends up in the quince forest and meets the strange Arale . Shortly thereafter, Tao Bai Bai tracks him down, but loses to Arale. When Tao Bai Bai tries to outsmart them with dynamite, he dies himself.
Meanwhile, Tenshinhan is said to assassinate the emperor. However, he can't do it because he likes Chao-Zu too much. Instead, he blows up the Lord of the Cranes. Then he returns Chao-Zu Ran Ran, who turns out to be a porcelain doll. Finally, Son-Goku awakens the dragon Shenlong with the help of the dragon balls and wishes that Bora lives again.
