KWG is a religious radio station based in Stockton , California , USA . The station broadcasts a Catholic program under the ownership of Immaculate Heart Radio . The signal on 1230 kHz should cover the Diocese of Stockton.
The radio station KWG, which is one of the oldest radio stations in the USA, went on the air on December 7, 1921 and was one of the last radio stations whose antenna was supported by wooden masts.
Until the mid-1990s, KWG used a T-antenna as the transmitting antenna , which was supported by two 60-meter-high wooden masts on the transmitter building . After this antenna was replaced by a self-radiating transmission mast standing next to the station building, the top of the mast was sawed off and has now been completely removed.
