K and M - consulate and model regulations

The K and M - consulate and model regulations (abbreviation: K and M ) are a reference work for the export industry that has been published by the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce since 1920 . The current 43rd edition was published in June 2019.

The team of authors consists of employees of the Chamber of Commerce, who are entrusted with import and export advice for companies and the certification of foreign trade documents.

The reference work appears every two years by Mendel Verlag in Bochum . It has a circulation of 12,000 printed copies and several thousand data carriers and network licenses with the electronic version.

The consulate and model regulations provide information on shipping documents and regulations that are required or must be observed for the international movement of goods with foreign countries for almost every country . In addition, they provide information about regulations regarding packaging , marking and designation of origin , ports, customs airports as well as legalization regulations and consulate fees as well as contact details of the diplomatic, consular and economic representations of the Federal Republic abroad and the German chambers of commerce abroad . In addition, the K and M contain basic knowledge on the movement of goods.
