Kaagerpolder , also known as Kagereiland , is an island in the Dutch province of South Holland in Lake Kagerplassen . Administratively it belongs to the municipality of Kaag en Braassem .
The village of Kaag is located on the island . The place and island are located about 8 km northeast of Leiden . The island can only be reached by ferry .
