Kaan Arslanoğlu

Kaan Arslanoğlu (* 1959 ) is a Turkish psychiatrist, journalist and writer.

Arslanoğlu lives in Istanbul . As a journalist, he mainly accompanied the military coup in Turkey in 1980 and its aftermath. The situation of the intellectuals and political activists of that time are also the subject of his novel Characters , which was published in German in 2000. The psychologically complex work traces the development of various characters "in order to explore what determined Turkish society in the eighties" ( FAZ ).
