Shit

Kacke (related to the Latin cacare 'poop', ' shit ') is a colloquial coarse term for excrement (solid excrement ), comes from the children's language ( Lallwort ) and was established in late Middle High German . The term - like shit - is used in the German-speaking world as a swear word or curse word and as an exclamation when difficulties and mishaps have occurred or as a curse to express frustration and anger. Originally the term was a crude expression for crap, nonsense, filth .

The term is used as an interjection , in adverbial or adjectival terms: “But that's a shit”, as a curse or as a negative exclamation in problematic situations. As a swear word, “die Kacke” is particularly common in the language area north of the Main line . In the southern German-speaking area, people tend to say “der Kack”, but the term is less common there as a swear word.

Idioms

Particularly well-known are the expressions The poop is steaming, which denotes impending inconvenience, and hit the poop, a synonym for either extensive partying or expressing one's opinion loudly, revolting loudly, but also bragging or showing off .

Poop often appears in idioms:

• poop - fail, break in forcefully (with technical devices often "pooped": defective, battery empty, motor flooded);
• hit the shit - brag, exaggerate, blow yourself up;
• what a shit - exclamation of disappointment;
• don't talk shit - get down to business !;
• Kackstelzen - misshapen legs;
• have screwed up - have failed;
• Flitz (e) poop - diarrhea ;
• shit at someone - address someone in a mob , criticize;
• cackling - subsidiary form of cackling; lead someone on the black ice.
