Kackmusikk is the alias of the Swiss musician and DJ Raphael Spiess (born February 11, 1982 in Lucerne , Switzerland). He is part of the DJ duo Hood Regulators and an alumnus of the Red Bull Music Academy.
biography
1999 Kackmusikk the debut EP produced BrikkNikk the Swiss hip-hop - group Keinondabel , a year later, the second album Lionking . This was followed by collaborations with Omid Walizadeh (Project Blowed) and The Mole (Motion Recordings) as well as the production of the debut album Liideschaft by the group The Unbreakables .
In 2005 he was a co-founder of the Lucerne cultural network Korsett . In 2006 he founded the DJ duo Hood Regulators together with Leisure Options ; This was followed by appearances at the Electron Festival , the Bad Bonn Festival , the Stanser Musiktage ( SMT ) and Switzerland-wide club gigs, etc. a. with The Very Best , Toy Selectah and Rustie . In 2009 they launched the Global Ghetto Anthems event series . In 2008 he met the Lucerne rapper Emm and produced the single Blieb no chli with him , which made it into the heavy rotation on SRF Virus. In 2010 Kackmusikk remixed the Ayoba EP by the Munich DJ duo Schlachthofbronx .
In 2011 he attended the Red Bull Music Academy in Madrid and learned a.o. a. Xavier Leon and Broke One, with whom he contributed to the joint track bedrooms on the RBMA sampler Various Assets . This was followed by DJ gigs at Club Goa Madrid , at the Electrosanne Festival and other club gigs at home and abroad. In the same year he remixed for the Lucerne indie rock band Field Studies and the breakcore duo Demegy vs. Somtek . In 2012 his solo EP Stella and the debut EP Good Girls by Hood Regulators followed . Another highlight this year was the performance in the Jazz Café as part of the Montreux Jazz Festival .
His second EP followed in 2013, Never , which was released on the French label Soukouch Ethnik . He played for the first time at the Gurten Festival and contributed a remix to the LP Kraka Bang for the Australian rave band Monster Zoku Onsomb . He formed the duo Emm x Kackmusikk with Emm , who released their debut EP SIE in the same year . The second work ER followed in 2014 as well as various productions for Swiss rappers, such as B. his contribution to the debut album by Mimiks , which was number 1 on the official Swiss album hit parade in the first week of the chart. In the same year the appearance at the Openair Frauenfeld followed . At the Kick Ass Award 2014 , the 2nd place was achieved with 2041 . In 2015, Emm x Kackmusikk released their first album together, which placed 17th on the official Swiss album hit parade in the first week of the chart. In the same year he also produced 4 songs for the album "Hünd i parkierte Outos" by the Bernese rapper Greis (musician) , which climbed to 4th place on the official Swiss album hit parade in the first week of the chart. For Mimiks' second album, "CRACK", he contributed four productions, including the title track. The album took second place in the first chart week of the official Swiss album hit parade.
