Kaemach was an ancient Egyptian civil servant who probably lived during the reign of Cheops ( 4th Dynasty ). He may have worked under the vizier Hemiunu as the chief eviction officer in the prince's rank. On the sacrificial plate he is referred to as the head of the Phylen (work units) of Upper Egypt , Great of the Ten of Upper Egypt and the natural son of a king.

dig

His grave complex (G1223), which is today badly damaged, was excavated in 1904 by George Andrew Reisner . The mastaba has been rebuilt several times, including an annex in the north for another burial. A massive stone building was erected on the east side. The remains of a burial were found in the underground complex. The cult complex contained a badly damaged, walled-up sacrificial slab due to the weather, which is now in the Egyptian Museum in Cairo (Cairo JE 37725) and was described in detail by Peter Der Manuelian .
