Kaf al-Jaʿ ( Arabic كاف الجاع, DMG Kāf al-Ǧāʿ , also Kaf Aljaa, Kaf al Jaʿ ) is a village in the Governorate of Tartus in Syria .
In Kaf al-Ja there were 2068 inhabitants at the census in 2004. A large part belong to the religious community of the Alawites (Nusairians).
Geography and climate
The place is at an altitude of about 900 meters near Qadmus on the western slope of the Jebel Ansariye . The climate is very pleasant in summer and winter, but temperatures below freezing are not uncommon. A diverse bird world is native to Kaf al-Ja'.
