Coffee Reinsburg
The Stammtisch Kaffee Reinsburg or Café Reinsburg was a loose association of men with literary interests who met between 1863 and 1870 in the Café Reinsburg in Stuttgart . The circle included men from the literary scene and other notables from society.
society
The Café Reinsburg at Paulinenstraße 38 in Stuttgart on the corner of Marienstraße was the meeting place for a regulars' table of literary men from Stuttgart and foreign guests. Some of the participants were also members of the artists' society “Das radiant Bergwerk” and / or the “ Sunday wreath ”.
The building at Paulinenstrasse 38 had been the seat of the Blüherschen bell foundry since 1770, in which Friedrich Schiller received the inspiration for his poem “ Das Lied von der Glocke ” , written in 1799 . In 1863 Ernst Mayer opened the “Café zur Reinsburg” in the house, which became the meeting point for the regulars' table. After the Second World War , Café Reinsburg existed for a few decades before it was converted into an amusement arcade .
